How do you think this would look? I think it would take the current bezel design a little further, although I do like my blue-dots...

UGH. '59 Caddy tail lights have got to be the most overdone tail light treatment going - and I dig Caddys.

Put some Lee lenses on it.

I know, I know! But I think the 59's are a perfect pick for those bezels, I don't wanna cover them up either

59 Caddy tailights look Cheesy on a 56 Chevy. Can't think of anything that would look worse.

Ok, ok! Geez, I was just asking! Since when does hot rodding have 'trends' anyway? What's wrong with the Caddy tail lights anyway? What are they "So last year"? People have been rockin' them for the past half a century and now all of a sudden they're out of style?

Caddy lights on 56s were pretty common "back in the day".

Agreed 59 Caddy tailights are done to death.Kinda like the repop Olds / Caddy air cleaners and the Packard tailights .I personally dont like the Lee style either .Why not try something like a modified Buick lens of the same era ,might look cool and different :) ???

Maybe build a new concave back plate for the bezel and mount the 59 Caddy lenses so they point straight up from the base. You could polish the backplate or just paint it black, etc.

The release for in the left hand unit to get at the gas filler could be an issue, but probably a little thought could get around that.

Fuck it. It's your car. Just do it if that's what you want. Personally i dig the shit out of '59 Caddy tail lights.

Might as well use some 90's toyota tail light, they would look generic, get your thinker to tinker, be creative, and when creativity fails you, stock is good
