I was poor.My options were black painted original rims with small center hub caps from a 60 Ford Galaxie. Some guys had chrome spiders.Spinner hub caps were on a lot of cars, even a few roadsters.
I'm leaning heavily that way, goal is to have the perfect 1962 built Roadster if I was old enough and had the funds in 1962.
I liked '60 Olds trim rings with the "grooves" or "slots" on the face with '58-'60 Chevy dog dish caps with the '57 Chevy tri bar knock offs!! Looked good on my '56 Chevy and my buddys '55 Ford!
I'm finishing up a 4 year build of a very period correct early '60s gasser inspired by Larry Teter's Vicky, c/gas champ 1961-62. If I can help you with any info PM me. Terry
My 49 Shoebox business coupe was torch slammed and running gloss black stock rims with 5/8" white walls and baby moons, the wheel wells were painted pure white, sweet car....NW lowriding white boy.
