Hey everyone, introducing myself to the site..... My name is John Homminga i am 37 and I am married to the greatest woman (Melanie) as she puts up with my bad habbit.. CARS.. We have 4 fantastic kids..I am a welder / fabricator with numerous welding cert's (6G in mig , tig and fluxcore, Sub arc welding) and hoping to build cars full time again by opening a shop again (EVIL DUTCHMAN KUSTOMZ).. I have pretty much been a life long car fanatic. My dad and grandfather were both car guys so i grew up in a garage from the time i could walk. My mom still has her 1st car a 1956 Olds Rocket 88... My mom has pics of my dad and I when i was 3 in a pair of coveralls and greasy in the garage "helping dad" .. he taught me a lot from mechanics to paint and body ..He did it all and i followed along... I build everything from frames, roll cages, rock crawlers, hot rods, resto rods, restorations

I built my 1st engine at the age of 11 ( 351 clevland for a 69 Torino GT) and painted my 1st car at 13 funny story here Dad always refused to paint a car pink and his friends' daughter wanted her 67 mustang pink so my dad told him he wouldn't do it but would let me do it and his friend agreed and well i panited it Barbie pink and did a pretty decent job.... His daughter was happy with it and i was hooked ...

I also grew up around race tracks .. my dad drag raced and did asphalt circle track so naturally i followed and have drag raced since i was 16 and had many cars i'll post a few pics..

My current personal projects are a 1928 Essex 2 door sedan a hot rod not rat rod or street rod.. I chopped it 6", suicide mounted 40 front I beam front axle, split wishbones, rear is torsion bars hooked to a ford 9" and coil over shocks, powered by 360ci sbc Inglese intake w/ 4 weber 48 IDF's, brodix heads, T-5 5spd,

    [IMG]1971 Chevelle 350 / th400, I have owned this car since i was 16, i am now 37
