How to drop a 1963 riviera?

    Does anyone know a quick, easy way to drop a 63 riviera? would i just use lowering blocks or what? thanks

    drop coils ..... blocks won't work . it has coils all the way around . DO NOT HEAT EM ....... you can cut them or buy dropped coils from coilsprings.com

    a whole bunch of sand bags in the trunk works nicely and torch the front springs for that not so nice of a ride you will hate in a month

    Just cut one coil off and go with that for a while ,then see if you want to go lower.

    before and after 1 coil cut off the front, it lowered it about inch and 1/2

    I have a 63 Riviera, we used lowered coils that got us down 2.5 inches. It looks super and rides and drives great. It was easy and you will surely love it. Good luck

    2" stepped front contol arms and 70 ElCamino rear coils

    I used 3" drop springs from Jamco. Still rides good I don't bottom out all over. I wouldn't cut coils you'll end up with a POS to drive.
