According to my local planning office,I could build it as big as I want,as long as it doesn't take up more than half the garden.Only limiting factor is the cost(isn't it always!).I could maybe get an extra two or three feet on the depth though.Only problem is that I have a derelict cottage in front of where the new workshop will go.I cant knock it down until the new workshop is built as the power to it feeds my current workshop which I need for work.

Hi Mark, interesting development to say the least. Problem now is do you work on the new garage, or the A? Tough shout, get the A done first, then you can build the garage and still have fun driving the A!

I'll be working on both Dougie.I'm keeping the existing workshop so I can carry on with work.Original plan was to convert the old cottage into the new workshop but,as you've seen,it's in a pretty bad state.Bits are starting to fall off it!Don't know if you noticed when you were here last but, there's a sizeable bit of land in front of it which is currently dead space which can be put to better use.The cost of repairing the roof alone is not far off the cost of a new building.Should get a few quid back on the slate, timbers, stone and bricks as well with a bit of luck.

    Cheers,
    Mark.

  5. Great work! I am going to incorperate some of your ideas on my own RPU.

Cheers Nige.I take it you didn't get to the Hayride either!
I love the lights, one of my favourite bits on the car.
The land thing will be good if it comes off o.k.I got accidently tipped off by the developers themselves.Whilst talking to their company director, one of the bimbos who is allegedly one of his legal team, leaned out of his car and asked me,"Do you know who that land belongs to?"
I nearly pissed myself and replied,"Me".
Company director told her to "Get back in the car and shut the fuck up!"LOL

Me neither but, unfortunately they're a legal requirement over here.Hopefully they'll look like they're supposed to be there rather than an add-on when finished.Glad you like them, thanks.Just hope they hold up on the road!:D

I am getting a real kick out of reading what these European dudes are saying to each other. Although I am of Irish descent, I have no fuckin' idea what "blag a discount", "our kettle is permanently on", "trick as buggery", or "sheep shaggers" mean. This thread is educating from many directions. Keep it going, Mates !
