Looking to see how everyone laid out their rows of gauges, switchs, inserts, widgets and whatnots on their 1932 Ford dash.

I know we all do it a little differently, I'm trying to find something I find aesthetically pleasing for my own project.

I did a bunch of searching but am still inconclusive...

  2. Here is how I have my dash set up.

Lincoln KB dash insert with late '40's SW gauges.
The insert is going to have alternate black and silver vertical striping like a '50's Caddie

First pic is the dash we put in the sedan a couple years ago when we turned it into a "hot rod". Full of vintage Stewart Warners. I couldn't make myself cut up the virgin original with faded Henry Ford paint on it (don't think Dad would have let me either:) ).

Second pic is that original dash with one of my hand made repop Pierce Arrow panels laid on top of it.

I didn't want to mess up that dash, either.

My 32 3W dash ... after being woodgrained by Bob Kennedy.

Same dash ... but with beige gauges ... the Black/White Stewart Warners just did not look right to the wife and I ... so we changed them.

And heres what the 32 3W dash looked like when I bought the coupe. :)
I sold it to a fellow HAMBER ...

On my 32's, I like to use the original stylee knobs. The LIGHT switch knob is on the headlight switch. The CHOKE knob controls the windshield wipper moter. I have a small panel hidden under the dash for the ignition switch.

Mine; with an enlarged opening (stock opening was previously butchered).
Light switch on left, choke right, small LED's for high beams, turn signals, and temp gauge selection (left or right bank).

Zipper dash was set up for a stock '32 panel. This one has a stock '32 speedo and S-W Wings Oil and Volt gauge. Tach is on the column and I use an old fashioned MotoMeter for a temp gauge. Ignition switch is a SoCal pull to start, push to stop unit with a dummy switch on the left for balance. Light switch is far left and choke is far right.
