65gregg, love the stance. Is that a 4.5/4 drop?

my 65 GMC. big c-notch, rear bags, lowered springs up front. Lot's to do but runs great with SBC, TH350 and short gears.

  3. Thank you for the kind words. It is a 4/5 CPP spindles, springs, shocks etc. The tires are a little bigger that most people run, they are 255/70 fronts & 265/70 rears.

My grandpa had a red 64 GMC, long bed, warm little 327, when I was little. I always loved that truck. That truck along with my dad's red and white 289 3 sp 68 F-100 very well may be responsibel for my classic truck infatuation. Here's the start of my new family cruiser:

Guess it was the old GMC that bit me, cause as the driveway shows, I'm a chevy guy!

    Thanks.
I've got barn doors in the back, but would like to run a tailgate set-up instead.

Is yours an original Napco 4x4? I've often thought I'd love to have an original 4x4 '60-'66 Chevy truck.

    Chevrolet Vehicle Information Kits

scans of the information packs they used to send to you for free.

    in .PDF format.

Currently they have 1930-2000 model trucks and lots of other Chevy vehicles listed.

It might be useful to some of you.

    Wow... nice thread.

Here's my latest project. Got doors and some patch panels coming, and a vintage 327 waiting on the stand.
