What is this pc of trim from? Chevy, pontiac olds buick?????

    I can tell its new. Here is the number off the back. 399820 6032 Its a nice pc, thick and heavy. Im thinking late 50s early 60s. Anybody know this one? It came in a largs NOS parts lot. But no bag or box.

    Well, you can cross off Pontiac; 399xxx is NOT a Pontiac number between 1955 & 1977.
    And I thought I was close on the RR quarter of '56 Pontiac...

    I looked in my '29-'55 Chevy books and their numbers start with a "4".

    Wait- is that black (or dark blue) paint in the 'top stripe' ? That's going to place it later than the '50s, IMO.
    And as a RH piece, this is going to be in front of the front wheel; not behind the rear with the taper like it is, me thinks...

    {...some time later....} that scalloped cut up front is very unusual,

    Thats not on that car. Or is there something i am missing?

    Yes i think your right though. It looks like it would be off the front wheel.

    You know i had this on 2 Oldsmobile sites and no one could ID it. LOL

    I don't believe the '68 98 is particularly popular {shrugs}.
    I once bought a cheap piece of NOS quarter chrome off fleaBay cause the guy couldn't ID it. I might have paid $10. Pointed digging turned up it came off a '66 GTO, and I pocketed $100. Gotta have the eye... ;)
