You know, thats a great question..I went with this roof because I wanted the supports...I suppose if you want no ribs, this aint the roof you want.
Its not for everyone but I thought it was cool that all the curves and contours were there and it fit like its meant to be there.

thanks. I buy and junk those mopar mini vans all the time. all that I have ever saved are the seats the speakers and radios. NOW I will sawzall off the roofs.. Thanks again.. Bobby

  6. Is the back seat DVD player still attached?:D They certainly are a source of massive amounts of sheetmetal and are easy to find.

  7. That roof looks really close to the roof out of an 84-88 s-10 blazer. I used the blazer roof in my 30 chevrolet, and it fits very well as well.

I looked at a few blazers too....but finding one without a roof rack is tough.

Show more pics including some of the interior wood replacement if you have some. I have done most of mine and am always interested in how other guys approach the job.

    Looks good.

It seems that on the other side of the world we work the same ways, stand-up, on cars...
I took a roof from a Chrysler Voyager, that's how we call them, and put it on my '31 Chevy. Cutting them halfways is not a good idea, but I fucked one half up, so I did not want to go to the junkyard again...

Good to know. With all the old gm cars I am building It's good to have a source for roof panels.

The ribs are there to give the sheet metal expanse strength and to stop it from oil canning.

  17. Looks like a good fit.

Some guys also use mid/late 90's Jeep Grand Cherokee.
