Alright a couple of the Iron Lords are getting together on Saturday to Chop Del's '54 Chevy and it got me thinking about profiles shots on cars and the flow of chops in relationship to the decklid. So I thought that a MOTHER OF ALL CHOPPED thread would help those of you that were on the fence as to how your car chopped would look or give you fuel not not to chop it.

So what I'm looking for is shots of your car that will help convey the chop to us and let us know how much you chopped it or if their are details about your chop that makes it unique. Throw them up whether it's a chopped Merc, Model A, Hammered or Hardly cut at all!!!

In the process pics are always welcomed since they help understand how the car was cut.

My chopped '33. Not sure on the specifics but it's definitely chopped a bit more (1/2-3/4") in the front.

Oh Jeffrey, if it wasn't for you the HAMB would have a total lack of "Mother of all..." threads haha.

Good thread, there is such a thing as chopping a car too much, I cringe when some of these dumbasses post "chop the hell out of it" so it looks like a squashed bug.

Here's the Shoebox I'm working on now, 4" chop by Bob Bleed - very nice work I might add. I traded for it from Hamber Jaker - getting paint this week. Only thing I would change (and I might) is to 'open up' the top of the windshield another 1" - 1 1/2"

This one's a 28, was actually a 'leatherback' I got it as a work in progress, had been choppped 7". When I got it:

After I 'finished' it on out:

Another 'work in progress' I finished, chopped WAY too much at 5" - look at how bad the rear window looks and the 'hump' in the roof.

After we changed rear glass and pancaked the rear:

Last is this A pickup, had a nice 3" chop, I did go in and 'open up' the windshield another 1 1/2"

Heres a couple of mine THE BLACK WIDOW chopped 50 oldsmobile, the gentleman that chopped it told me there were almost as many hours in the decklid as in doing the roof. The decklid has 11 cuts in it for the fit and to make the top flow, it has a 5in chop.

this was a butchered chop that was about 3 inches cut out more to fix it and give it a meaner profile, ended up being about 5+ inches, also cut the post out and changed it from a 4 door to a 2 door. lot of work still more to go. more done since as well as body off the frame. just gotta get all the cleanup and painting of the undercarrage back on and its back to the body and striping everything back to the metal for fresh body work..

second is my 28 A. this was chopped back in the day so i couldnt tell you how much but im guessing about 3-4 inches or so .
