My name is Larry Fleming
I'm older than dirt, still obsessed with cars and motorcycles. I paid for my first car when I was eleven years old with paper route money, and money also earned as a used car lot boy. I am a retired Art Teacher, still painting Automobiles on Canvas, I think of them as portraits. I am currently working on a '47 chevy business coupe, hoping to have it road worthy by spring. I have found that there is a "wealth of information and knowledge" on the H.A.M.B., and God only knows just how short of each that I am.

what are my plans for the '47? I will be running the 216 with a T5 tranny, and Ford rear end. I have Artilleries with bias plys wide whites, and skirts. I've been collecting vintage speed equipment, got to confess mainly for the looks. Stuff that I would have liked to have had back in the 'day'. It has a Heidt coil over in front with power rack. Thinking about leaving everything more or less stock in appearance, but not in attitude. I want this for a daily driver with nasty sounding pipes. Not too sure about wanting a finished ride, more like a 'work in progress', open for changes along the way.
