I was cleanin the shop the other day and I found these. One looks like an old bumper jack. Its made by Nike in Sweden. My question is what kind of car, if any, would have had this jack. The other tool is made by Bilstein. It works like a friction jack, but it has a rubber boot one end. My guess is that it is some kind of old suspension tool?? What do you guys think?
Yea those are called jacks. Handy for chainging a tire of getting one up high enough for changing the oil.
I just woke up here ... but wasn't/isn't Saab made in Sweden. Dang .... Saab .... Volvo .... I was so close. Ah well, back to bed.
the first one is for a volvo, is my guess. Looks very familiar...we had a mid 60s 544 in the 70s, I used the jack a lot. second might be VW
Thanks. Ill look into those. I just wanted to find out in case they are worth anything to someone who needs one.
yup, the first is volvo. probably mid 60's thru early 70's (I had a 71 144 and the jack was the same) and the 2nd looks like the one I had in a 69 Karmann Ghia
The first one is like the one for my 60's MGB only it went into a hole in the center of the car and lifted the whole side of the car
