Here is a project that i have been working on for a while. All steel chopped 5" ,frame certified to 7.50, F.E. FORD with 12-71 magnesium blower, powerglide...
12 spoke Spindle mounts and an FE?....did you steal the blueprints for my future project??? hahahaha...Cool A!!!
ummm, fucking wow! thats pretty nasty in a great way! wheres the photoshop gurus, was thinking how would it look with the motor back in the cowl a bit more? same pipes
I'm going to run the thickest F.T. block i have found,.030 over with Oring grooves, custom Jahns 10:1 pistons {flat top with valve relief},steel F.T. crank with the snout turned down for a B.B.C. crank hub, Edelbrock CJ aluminum heads with a reciever groove cut in them to match the heads,Comp roller cam & lifters, Erson roller rockers.Blue Thunder intake with the 2" spacer and an adapter plate to mate the 12-71 to the 6-71 intake..I'm going to run 20% under on the drive for now to hold the boost down to about 20 - 25 lbs. I hope
I imagine you plan on adding cross bolts to the block too? Do you know of the Ford FE Forum? Funky format with lots of good info and drag racing experience. http://www.network54.com/Index/10214 Keep up the good work.
thing looks bad ass.....thank god its not on a 125+" w/b chassis. proportions are right on. all its missing are some 16x13 big windows..
rear wheels are 14" with 33x17 tires ,as for the cross bolt main caps, the F.T. block has no provision for the boss's, but on the good side it has more webbing..my brother is a machinist by trade and has built a main girdle that attaches to the pan rail with cap screws
Cool! Let's get that grille shell up there a little higher. That blower pulley is as big as the blower!! Everything thru the hat? Lippy
I'm running a Nicson boat front cover for a fuel pump drive and lower mount, some one wanted to know what size the tires are,so i will add a picture..there big just like the blower pully..As for that ,fresh stripped big blower & a small motor,I was thinking if i under drive it the intake charge will stay cooler than a small blower running faster with the same boost...The grill shell is just fine, thats the look i was going for {my own}.....
Pro-Gram Engineering makes the 2-3-4 crossbolt main caps for the FE. A guy named Dave Shoe made a capsaddle for the FE, only a few were ever completed and not many were sold. A class racer named RJ Sledge tested one in a Stock class car, seemed to hold the bottom end together better, might be a guy on the FE Forum that got one would be willing to part with it.
Thanks for the info, i've seen the pro-grams but the capsaddle is new to me..i.ll have to do some checking on that..thanks again
Cool lookin ride, I see we got similar taste Luv the gasser coupe too. I just got mine in paint this weekend.
