I have one of these machines. Got it at an estate sale with a HF bead roller for $75.
I use it mostly for copper, and small pieces of aluminum or steel. They have their place, but if you can afford the better stuff, you'll be much better off. I let my friends use it, it's like the box of loaner tools. Some wants to borrow a tool, show them the box..... It's hard to get hurt, or screw up to badly with the 3 in 1, but watch garage sales, or craigslist. I found a Tennsmith 52" shear, and 48" pan and box brake at a garage sale that I almost drove bye without stopping. The wife said why didn't you stop!! I had no reason why not, so I turned around and went back. Nothing but junk outside, but inside was the Tennsmith. They wanted $800 for the pair, I offered $600. They said show me the money, I did, then went home to get my truck. When I got back, there were 3 others waiting, wanting to know if I would sell for a quick profit. Nope! Their in my shop, along with press brake and a power shear, but I still use the little one, for small stuff.

I have one of those woodwards and the first thing I had to do was cut it up as it wouldn't do a radius bend, thats when I found out those smooth welds are bondo covering bad chinese welds, its good now for folding envelopes and other soft things, got it at an NSRA event, I use it very little.

I would like to clearify that this is a 16 gauge machine. Not a 20 gauge like most on the market. It weighs 1,200 pounds. Very beefy!

    Thanks for posting Josh!

Probably better for working aluminum--you can go up to about .041 thick.
With steel, shearing 18 ga. can break it in half.

Ours will do 16 gauge mild steel all day long. :D Have plenty of happy customers using it. It is a monster! It weights 1,200 pounds!

  17. Harbor Friggin' Freight,,and to add insult to injury I was bending 20 gauge,,it's not like I was bending something heavy.

I learned my lesson,,no more cheap crap for me. HRP
