Hi Folks! My name is Rico, 34 years old and I live in Germany, near Leipzig/Saxony. I own a 1993 Corvette an have been dedicated to american cars since I was young. I'm also founding member of the www.corvette-association-germany.de. You wonder why I am now here? After this event (our club made the timing at 1/8 mile race) in Germany I have finally given way to my secret passion for the 50ies and 60ies, have exchanged my long hair for a greasy rockabilly hairstyle and just shot me a 1937 Chevy Pickup Hot Rod from St. Francis, Minnesota at ebay.com. The Rod is now in Germany since about 3 weeks and I'm abolutely enthusiastic about it. It makes a gorgeous sound and just kicks ass! I may ask you any questions about it and I'm looking forward to some inspiring threads here! Kind Regards Rico Almost forgot the pic... This is the Rod:
Rico.......The word "rat" does not fit well on this site....other words like vintage rod or old rod works better....Good luck
Rico, you really meant to say ROD, didn't you ? Anyway that is what I will pretend because Rat's are frowned upon. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. ...........from Arkansas City, KS. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome! And sorry for my spelling slip-up on the ROD therm! I've currently searched the forum about this... Funnily it's exact the thing, that I have explain to people that see my Hot Rod in the last 3 weeks. They all thought it is an insecure car in poor condition. What I have told them is what I meant with my misspelling: It's nothing but a rusty and vintage look with a very safe and excellent technical foundation! Don't know how to describe it other than this. Sometimes I just can't find the right english words... Sorry for that!!!
Welcome Rico, Also a '37 driver...but it's going to be lil'sis coupe when she is done !!! Gotta love the oldies !!! - Simp
