Uhh, Well, It's the front fenders, Yeah. But it's on the inside of the panel, behind the wheel, In an insert i think, Yeah. Basically i can't access it with a grinder.
what did you do in the front to get it to lay i bought tubular control arms. and cut the spring pocket..do you have any pix? i actually built mine with stock arms then bought tubular in middle of build and wow they require very little cutting
id have to take a look tomorrow, but i believe there's a bolt from the under side that goes up into the insert. i don't really have any front pics, because it is pretty straight forward. i used a cpp 2" drop spindle kit with 12" disk's. some cutting of teh pockets and frame lip is required. i didn't have to notch my tie rods, just make sure the adjuster bolts are face down.I'm also setting this up to run a 215/75/15 tire. if you where to run a bigger tire you may have to clearance more. ill get you some pics when i get everything blasted and do the final assembly.
This is one of the most ignorant comments I think I've ever seen on here. The guy goes out of his way to do something right. To actually rid an old car of all the rust so it isn't slowly rusting away and you say that. That's some bullshit right there. The whole patina fad is stupid. hopefully we'll be heading south for the round up in April, then north for the pile up, that is if my money tree out back does not freeze this winter, shit ain't looking good right now! no sweat man. i had to read that a few times myself when he posted that. to each their own i guess. i mean i would never , ever , spend all that coin on stock replacement shit like he did and leave the outside, let alone actually spend money and time to try and clean up the patina and then clear it like he did. but it is his car and poor choices.

that makes sense then. ya better keep an eye on your ball joints. with that much cutting to get it to lay, your joints are in a huge bind in the upper most travel. i looked into keeping my drums also, but didn't like the angles and bump steer that will come because of them.
little update. got the motor and 700 r transmission all back together. decided on a key lime with kandy pagan gold color scheme, heavy flake and panels been working on getting the floors all buttoned up. will post some pics soon.
its been cold in the shop! some floor pics, cu tout the rusted area, fabbed up new piece, bead rolled some, weld up, repeat! picked up some impala side trim and birds. going to use that instead of the std wagon trim. was able to pick up some corvette valve covers also
