Event Coverage Rockin' Jalopy's Motorama Show, Europe - Pics

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dutch Courage, Nov 22, 2010.

  1. Hats off again to Henry van Uden who put up another fantastic little indoor traditional hot rod and custom car show last weekend: The second international Rockin' Jalopy's Motorama at the Autotron in Rosmalen, Holland.

Just like last year: No trophies and no inflated ego's, just an informal and friendly get-together among like-minded souls from Holland, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the UK. Great rockabilly bands, cool vendors and artists, and a superb venue drew a huge crowd all weekend long.

Also just like last year, the event coincided with a large indoor vintage car swap meet and trade fair, also at the Autotron.

  2. Some nice rides: most of these pics were taken at set-up day so there is no crowd.

Cool cars outside in the parking lot as well but I only photographed this very nice roadster from Germany:

Wicked artwork by Charles Burki in the the staircase of the Autotron:

Swap meet find; really cool auto-class instruction model with fully functional parts that a Vultures member picked up. Length of the model is about 3'.

Show organiser Henry was very busy all weekend long but he still found the time to secure himself a super nice Model T body from the swap meet for his next project. Body was imported from Montana; sorry for hauling off your vintage tin guys... but it is in good hands now, so rest assured...

    Rockin' Jalopy's Motorama was awesome!
Many thanks to Henry & Co. and all that participated. I've met some very cool people and had a great time. I'm always amazed at the 'new' cars that show up at every event I attend...

Didn't anybody mention the free drinks at the party? Too bad I wasn't feeling very well. :p

Thanks Ger, for taking some time to take good pics that show what this event is all about. Great coverage! And thank you for the ride ;)
