Well small update. we scraped the idea of using the 9" rear we picked up and found a 8" local for $125 from a 66 stang. We cut the spring perches off of it and cut some flanges for the four link, pics to follow. We also welded one end of the link bars and mounted the frame flanges for the four link. The rear should be mounted this week some time. I will update this with pics soon.

Like already stated it's great to see three generations involved in this build. Your son is going to have some special memories after he grows up.
What am I seeing I that last picture? A daughter perhaps? You might have to avoid any sibling rivalry by building her a car. Of course she should be involved in the build...and perhaps grandpa again?

  9. Love it, guys! I am working on a project with my son, and it's one of the best things we have going. He learns about tools, engines, and how things work... and I get some legit companionship in the garage, and a reason to cruise to the ice cream place once in a while!

Good job guys, guess I'm kinda partial though. Looks kinda familiar. My Dad and sons hang out here with us too, very lucky to have that.

Keep up the good work. Keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And yes that's my daughter Aimee she turns 16 in 2 weeks. She actually seems pretty intersted in the project.
