skip this side view is perfect! i'm a secret custom fan too!! still trying to figure out hot rod or custom with my 40 coupe. killer car you got going. [/QUOTE]
Well I guess my work is done then hahaha I've been fired!!!!! I'm till digging the pearl white with baby blue bottom and roof. It's something that I think would have definitely been prevalent back then but you don't see too much these days. Why's everyone afraid to go all cream puff??!!!!
I have to repost because all the pic's would'nt show up on my phone earlier. HOLY SHIT! its friggin perfect!!! That will probably gnaw at me for weeks until I have to chop my vert. Well done Skip
I was prepared to not like the smaller rear window, but, I was wrong. It looks real nice. Congrats, Mark.
RS - that is one Sik Vik. You totally nailed the stance, and (like Chili Phil said) I wasn't ready to like the rear window... but it's just fine once you see it. Damned fine job.
This is one of the finest Vicky renditions I've eer seen... Great work on the rear window and sail panels. Everything flows smooth...
The car's lookin' great so far . I wish we could find solid 'boxes like that here back east . I spy a bitchin' old Comet in there too ... lucky bastage !
Beautiful chop, loved 51's foever and thats going to be one of the best. I'm not digging any of the two tone renderings though. A custom of that caliber should have old school one color paint, maybe Titian bronze/ red or Honduras maroon/ and some just enough, not to much, pin striping.
Gotta be 2-tone!! The pb&j (or is it the j&pb) is way out there, decidedly different. Bold. Can you say Junior Conway ? Not the same as jivinjer's clone, but moving in that direction. That baby blue sure says 1950's, doesn't it ?
Out of JamesD's, I like the last one. As well, I like how JJ wrapped the color from the lower side-bottom and around the rear.
Skip has a Royal Flush!..... I would look here for a factory 2 tone look...love the car....wicked... http://1957ford.com/asp/gallery.aspx?catmstrid=10&catdetid=41 Look around..back and forth.
