LOVED this little speedster, was easily my favorite car. According to the owner, it's a chopped up '51 Chevy truck, if I recall right. All the sheet metal, suspension, and the motor is from the truck. The grille he hand made, and the mesh is from a factory's water filter. A T5 5spd backs up the straight six, and it has one of the coolest intake manifolds I've seen.

And then, at the Continental Club:

Sick stomach, headed home, but it was a badass show. All quality, not quantity. Despite the relatively small number of cars, this is one of the best shows I've been to. And by far the COOLEST location ever.

Anyways, the rest of the photos are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/95001020@N00/
If anyone (car owners too) wants a fullsized picture, let me know.

  13. Wow! I just spent a hour and a half looking at those photo's. Thanks Anderson. That has to be the best collection of traditional cars I've ever seen. Job well done to all who worked so hard to put it on. A new bar was set and history was made. Damn! Epic!

I can't wait to see the pics of some of the cars parked in front of the Continental Club and Lucky Lounge at night with the neon glowing. Now that would rock!

I mentioned something like that on Bass' trip thread. Hamb powertour kinda thing. Long trip picking up people along the way, ending at an important show. Imagine a whole pack of hot rods blastin across the country headin twords the promised land.....

    Amazing coverage! Made my night.

  16. Sorry, I missed your pictures at first. I spent a lot of time looking at Anderson's. During that time, yours appeared with the Continental Club pics. I posted before I got to see your pics.

Excellent job on the photography. The clarity, color and shot angle is amazing. You must be a professional.

And nope, just been at car photos for a few years, and made do with lesser cameras. Never made a dime off it... And spent way too much when I used film. I borrowed a family member's camera and lenses for this, and glad I did.

    Thank you for the compliment.

  19. Anderson (& TexanIdiot25) - very nice photos ... great coverage ... thanks for sharing!

  20. I don't think I've ever seen a hot rod show of this caliber in my life! You got a top notch group of well respected folks that have set up what appears to be the current DREAM TEAM of hot rods, at a venue that looks like it was dropped right out of Gotham City.

This is one will happen again. Has to. Really kicking myself for missing it.
