I do not want to put a blower on my 337 flathead until it has forged internals, so I am putting on a shelf for the time being.. I have found a mopar 360 and 727 for free and was planning to put it in my Lincoln. I'm sure that will anger alot of people.. I am wanting to know what is the gear ratio in my rear end and how strong is it? How wrong is it to mix a mopar and a lincoln? -side note flathead for the 38 ford is off to the machine shop. THANKS!
what do u mean by where the oil sump is? the oil pump on the 239 is in the back right and picks up bout in the center of the pan, if that's what u meant?
Yup. The 360 is a front or rear(pick up/van) so you'll have to do some planing on getting it to fit, unless it's enough shorter than the flatty to fit ok.
there is so much room i dont think getting the 360 to fit will be much of a problem, however i dont want to cut or weld anything, i would like to make a bolt in kit so i can still place the flathead back in one day. also the 239 goes in the 38 ford, the 360 goes in the lincoln and the lincoln has a 337 in it.
