Some buddies of mine have been throwing a car show in Dallas for damn near ten years now. For the first four or so years, I didn't live close enough to make it down. As for the last five? I've lived just a couple of hours away and haven't made a one....

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Wow. Great pics, RYAN, but I noticed that they don't provide any real clarity of the event. Hopefully, there will be much better coverage on the HAMB. It was really great seeing you guys out there.
I'm glad you finally were able to make it to the show, Ryan. I thought I saw you from a distance, but I was like, "naaahhh, that couldn't be Ryan." If I'd have known you were really there I would have came over to say hello. Our show is as much about fun with family and friends as it is about cars, and I hope you left with that impression. Thanks for coming!
ARTSY FARTSY thats just fine ? no pics of tinkerbell or hello kitty mixed in thanks for sifting though the picture card before posting .. ??? 2 hours away and ya had to stay over nite sheese just think her annual birthday party is now including this show .. start calling it as such... thanks no pics of all the presents?
Thanks for coming Ryan. Sorry I was so busy and didn't get to visit more with you and the family. As far as I'm concerned, you are a big part of the success we have had with this show. I'll see you in Austin next weekend. Bubba
Great snap of the familia by the great Winfield p.u., sounds like you had a great time. More coverage will surely appear on the HA.M.B. ~Sololobo~
excellent pics Ryan.... Joyo told me about your good fortune in the camera buying department... That show is probably my favorite and the last 3 years I have been unable to go for one reason or another. I hope I can keep my promise to myself of not not missing it these next 3
Oh man, that white(?) 36 really does it for me...and what a great shot of the family by the Winfield truck!
Nice shots. Loved the hats on small people, the velocity stacks laid down to keep them under the stock hood line, the various cars and ... Say, did anybody else notice that the cheater slick was a recap on a Michelin X Radial?
Thanks for coming to the show this year Ryan. It really would not be what it is without the HAMB. We are truly greatful for our HAMB family. Thanks again for coming on such a special day for your daughter and tell her Happy Birthday from the Chupacabras. When you geta chance I need to know how you make it from Austin to Denton in "a couple of hours"!
This was my first year to go to Pistons and Paint and I will not miss another one. We had a ruff start with my Merc and had to end up leaving it at home. I told Bubba that I was going and I'm glad that I did. What a weekend! The show has to be one of the koolest events that Ive ever been to. Love the layout of the new location. I hope that it wourks out ok for the club members. Lot of Kool Kars, Kool tunes and vendors, Wow! Pistons-n-Paint has it all. I think bands are important to any event and the Bands that performed were just over the top. Highlights of the weekend: Hearing Basss Coupe run in person. Has to be one of the baddest sounding coupes around. Lot of Hot Rods and Kustoms that Ive never seen before. Im now a big fan of Lloyd Tripp and the Zip guns. It was kool to see all of the young people there. The hobby is alive and well Hangn out with my Tulsa friends and listening to their Wal-Mart experience. Meeting the Lucky Charm Bandit We got to the show at 10:30 am and we had to leave at three to head back home. We spent all of that time there and I didnt see everything. Next year Im going to be there until they kick me out of the park. I dont want to miss anything. Bubba, Boom Boom and the rest of the gang you guys did a heck of the job and you put on a Have to attend event. Just wish that I had missed the last eight. See ya guys next year and I'll bring more people with me. Happy Trails, Mick
HAHA. it drives me nuts too! but i dont know how to take "Normal" Pictures. So I dig the show coverage that you provided. Lets me see it how I would have veiwed the Show anyway! Sounds like a great time. Hope I can make it out for that one sometime.
By the way Happy B-day to the little one. Seems like she has her priorities straight!!!! They sure grow up fast man. Cherish these Moments with your kids!!!!! Tinkerbell aint got shit on the Hotrod Fairy!!!
Have I mentioned that you have the best dressed kids? Good to see you and the family. Chups and company ruled as always---great laid back show. Marcy
As the father of two girls (9 months and 3 years), I think that's the best thing I've ever read. Thank you! -Dave
Great show this year. Me and my Buddy were out there pinstriping. Can't wait to go again, there were TONS of awesome rides.
think he means hash browns... ..unless he ate some bad eggs, then "browns" are what you get a few hours later....
