International trucks do NOT make traditional hotrods.
I was there in the 50s.

    I wasn't there in the 50's. But I like International's. I think it was a
good purchase. Please keep us up on the progress. I put a SBF in my
International that I'm building now. Mine uncompleted in pic.
Traditional ? I guess the Internatonals have been Judged.

Good looking Binder. A mentor of mine drove a 49 IH powered by a 50 Olds v8 . It was a sleeper.

welcome F1ZZY! nice truck, make it what ever you want. That is what hod rodding is all about. watch youself around here, there are alot of grumpy over serious people ready to tell you how things should be. I think it will make a fine hot rod. I think it would make a good custom as well. I can imagine some knuckles between those headlights. good luck!

As a matter of fact, there were quite a few non-Fords back in the 50s.
I was there. Been at this hot roed thing since 1953. To NOT use a Ford, Merc or other popular make/model was actually kinda cool. I took a look at the profile for chrisntx and I didn't see anything to indicate you have any reason to justify your remark. Unless, of course, you meant to diss the guy. Did you?

ps...Hey, F1zzy.....welcome to the H.A.M.B.!! Interesting build plans. Keep us posted with words and photos. Actually, I'm looking at an IH pickup too. Maybe if I find time we'll have a mini-fleet here in Nebraska.
