How many projects do you have going at the moment?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by dirt slinger, Nov 7, 2010.

  1. moved around some today - just making room for the incoming....

    77 stepvan
    76 F250
    72 GMC Sierra
    67 Val
    64 Stude Daytona
    56 Stude pu

    PT cruzer
    Dakota pu

sometimes one will slip in - just for a build to be put back on the road - and to turn...

    that's what supports my habit....

  5. 2 dang many.. lets start with the most number of wheels and work down... 6 wheels - 1955 Chevy bread truck. in the process of gathering RV and 4X4 stuff to convert into a go anywhere RV. 4 wheels - 1950 dodge coronet worked over 413 with a 150 shot of giggle juice, 1988 Yamaha warrior - the girls toy, needs an ignition coil, I'll get to it one of these days. 3 wheels - 1981 Honda atc250r needs a top end, same status as the Yamaha. 2 wheels - 72 Yamaha at2 dirt bike, waiting on a carb bought on eBay.. gonna put it on kick it over and hope for the best. just need to find a motor-unicycle and something with 5 wheels to complete the collection.

    Just one.
I learned awhile ago that for me, one project is more than enough. When I did have multiple project cars I was never able to find the money, space or time to make much headway on any of them. I truly admire (and am more than a bit jealous of..!) those who can. If you're one of 'em, let the rest of us in on your secrets.... pleez! :)

'61 Suburban daily driver... always doing something on it.
'61 Corvair wagon... the wife's daily driver. Currently has the engine on one side of the shop, the body on the other side, so it's not much of a daily driver right now.
'57 Chevy 150 2dr Handyman wagon gasser. Looking to be ready for Hunner Car Heads Up in June.
'54 Buick. Needs engine and trans put back in, then 9 year's worth of sitting undone (brakes, etc.)
'73 Duster on a rotisserie in bare metal right now. Ongoing.
'56 Chevy. Stripped body, just... kinda... sitting there for the better part of 2 decades.

I fix motorcycles to support my car habit. Finishing up the 230/6 for my 48 aero cp and swapping the trans and rear for a synchronized 3 spd and open drive. Also 5 o/t projects- 2 bikes, 2 race cars and a shop truck. Not including keeping my 3 sons stuff on the road! peace

Got 7 cars, 4 of them drive. If I were to write down all the things I still want/need done on them it would set me back a good 5, 6 hours alone.

  17. First, there is my 40 hour a week job.

    Then a '69 C/10 for the wife.
    Finish the garage addition.
    Finish the deck.
Rebuild that saginaw 4 speed that I want to ad OD too.
Keep the daily on the road.
Help a brother HAMBer from time to time.

  22. I'm jumping back and forth between 5 ladies. Beings I live in Utah I hear that you have to be a polygamist, and since I can only handle one woman bitching at me I had to resort to multiple cars. Maybe that makes me a car-lygamist.

    '63 f100
    '53 Willys CJ3A
    '55 Willys Pickup
    '55 Fairlane
    '31 Plymouth 3 window

I think I suffer from Adult ADD so its good for me to be able to bounce around like a crack head.
