clinthull, that looks great! I would love to show mine, but its not Hamb friendly. (1971 Gremlin, but I am doing alot of 50s-60s style mods. And am just moving to the outside and probably already have over 500 hours fab. time on it)

Here are some pictures of my '50 Chevy 1/2 ton. The first few pictures is how it showed up. The engine in the pictures is the one that will be put in my truck, it's a '54 235 with some work done to it. The last picture is a current picture of the cab at the shop where I work at, with the bodywork almost done on the back of the cab.

Looks good. I used the same tank. I used "GOOP" to fasten a cage nut on top of the tank flange "U" cutout where the bolts go. The bolts then go in from the bottom and it makes it easy to secure the tank. Don't over tighten. What rear end are you using and is it stock or did you have to narrow it? Thanks, JIM

  9. The car nobody wanted so I bought it...plans are a delivery conversion, and probably sell the 235, tranny and rear. Would like to keep all the old stuff but need something that can go far.

Sedan Delivery Concept is by Flatfoot on HAMB photoshop forum.

This is what I'm working on. Right now I'm still going through all the parts I have, inspecting, cleaning them up, catalogging and making a list of what to reuse and what to replace. It seems I'll never get through this phase of the project but it's a most necessary step because I have to keep the budget as low as possible on this one, can't run out and buy a bunch of parts that I could reuse with some elbow grease.

I can agree with that fully! :)

It's a ratty hot rod, it will get better over time as there is time and money for it, but in the mean time it will be a ratty Rod!

  28. H.A.M.B. dragster in the works right now....'31 chevy frame rails (badly warped when boxed 30+ years ago, no good for the street, but not bad after cut up and new cross members) '40 ford front axle setup, 9'' rear out of a '67 bronco, and my Flathead/3-speed combo. Almost ready to start making mounts. Sorry about the poor quality of pics, lighting is crappy this time of day.
