Here is a vintage Grant wheel that I recently picked up. It has heavy flake and finger-tip grips on the back. Super cool wheel. Wish I didn't already have a Superior wheel on the Henry J that I have or I would use it. It is currently on that auction site.

SoCal has just introduced a new line of MF wheels. Holes in spokes, 15". Very similar to the Superior 500. They look nice. I saw them on ebay. Sent a note to SoCal. They said they had trouble with the tooling so they were delayed until now. They said to get one now, when they are gone they are gone.

  19. So, after all the trouble of getting the tooling right, they're only gonna do one run of them? Silly

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Does not make sense. I am going to buy a blue one. The ebay 'buy it now' price was $124.00.

That looks exactly like mine, a noname also. Is it teal plastic, with both green and blue flakes in it?

Yep... got it about ten years ago when you could still pick 'em up fairly cheap. I think the winning bid on it was about $30 bucks.:D

that's amazing, it's the only other one i've seen like it.

Bought mine on ebay about 8yrs ago for $36 counting shipping. There was 4 pics on the ad, all of them showed it to be a filthy rootbeer brown, except for one. I saw a bit of teal in a spot on the rim. Took a chance, got it sent to me, and spend a couple of hours with cutting compound and had a nice deep teal wheel.

  28. Actually older oem wheels would often mount that way ( Jaguar, Cobra's MG's etc). I'm sure they use this style as the bolt on style adapters have been around a long time and are probably more widespread and easier to find these days.

Those wheels are the shit however!
