  2. I have the 194ci in my '29 and would like to see if anybody has done this too! I have a 327 waiting in the wings but the more I read about inline 6s the more intrigued I get.

The 235 block is 2 inches shorter than the 1929 Chevrolet 194. If you have a 1955 through 1963 235 you can use a short shaft water pump and get it into the 1929. The stock 1957 235 water pump will hit the radiator. Find a 1937-1951 Chevrolet 216 engine and take the front motor mount plate from it and install it on your 1957 engine. Then you can mount the front of the engine. If you can find the chassis front mount from a 1932 Chevrolet it would be "bolt in". If it is manual transmission use a bell housing from a 1960-1962 Chevrolet pick up truck and you can have three point motor mounting and a hydraulic clutch. If you are using an automatic make sure you make side motor mounts to keep the engine from rocking. Good luck on the project.
