I am looking for pics of this 1935 Chevrolet standard coupe I recently picked up for my dad, I found the previous owner who raced it primarily at Puyallup Race way, and "a couple of times" at Pacific Raceway from 1959 - 1961. It was running a transverse leaf / ladder bar Pontiac rear end and a 354 Chrysler Hemi with A blower and 8 deuces at the time. The car was out of Renton WA raced by Mike Mc Manus, and prior to his ownership it was owned by George Burhill (sp?) ( I have not located him yet) also of Renton and was running a flat head v8 Ford and '40 ford rear end. Another dead give away on this car is it has a 35 ford dash in it. Any pics or info on this car would be appreciated, Thanks... Wayne.......

I'm glad that you found Mike. I didn't know George.

Only went to Puyallup Dragway once; and Jerry Ruth almost ran me down in his push truck. Same event they ran two semi truck-trailer rigs, and when they came back down, they were throwing T-shirts off the top of the trailers. Neat car, like how the headers must have exited thru' the front fenders. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Where was Puyallup Dragway? I gather Puyallup, but more specific.

I went there with my dad a couple of times about that time along with going to Pacific Raceways many times including the opening day thing.
Dad lived in Renton at that time but I don't remember the car.

Puyallup Raceway Park was at about 160th and Meridian. You can still find part of the track if you go in from 110th (the west side)
