Thanks for all the pics Gregg, much appreciated. see that rusty VW pick-up? It took best beater, that thing was bagged and on the ground, it's cooler than hell.
Hay Nads, Thanks putting on a kick butt car show. Its was nice too see some primed and flat black rods and kustoms . I was way suprised to see the Aztec there when we got there. I need a taste of what i will see in Vegas this year. I will be going down next year for the show and hopeful the riv will be driveable. Kustomriv
That (y-block?) powered 'bucket is a little too ratty for my tastes, but the Aztec looks stunning still. Love it. -Crew
From what I heard, the Aztec was either restored by and/or half owned by Bob Nitti as well. I don't know if Nitti still owns the car, but I know for a fact he had his hands in the restoration. Nitti is a pretty local guy and the car was restored in NJ. 00Mack would know everything about this car, it's got quite a history
Yeah Bob Nitti's name was thrown about, he might still be half owner. My dad, being the guy that he is, asked what the car was worth and the only answer he got was that it took $100,000 to restore the car. He promptly offered $117,000 for it. That's my pops. The car's truly amazing, even more amazing when you think about how young Bill DeCarr was when he started building it. It might be the last tasteful custom before the era of undriveable and tacky ones that eventually killed customs for decades.
