Found this in the woods yesterday. Any ideas as to what it goes to? By earthshaker5769 at 2010-10-31 By earthshaker5769 at 2010-10-31 I've pretty much ruled out Chevy, Ford, and most Chrysler products I've been able to compare it to. Thanks guys!
I know, right?! I wish metal could talk - I'd love to know the story behind things like this and see what that guy made out of it all those years ago. I'm trying to find pics of 30-31 Plymouths right now, but its snowing and my internet is spotty at best. Thanks for the suggestion!
Check this thread out.... 29 pontiac as RMR&C suggested... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=220166&page=8
I think the 29 Pontiac suggestion is correct. Thanks guys! Aside from the rear window, the rest looks just like a 29 Chevy roof I've got.
This is what Gigantors roof died to save Cleco mockup Pontiac window in a 28/9 Ford Sedan. Car gets 6" chop. I will then look at the window and see how much to take out of it. Tape is layed out for 3" out of the window, stock height window would be fine in a full fendered A. Chopping it will take some judicious cuts to keep the oval looking good, I have my ideas and lots of posterboard. Thanks Gigantor, I will get those shells boxed up. The Holiday is going to get in the way this week DOH!
The HAMB is an odd place, some dude in Maine found an unknown chunk of tin and a few days later it is at Mt Rushmore getting grafted to a Ford Sedan!?!
That looks GREAT Tman! I can't wait to see that grafted in! I'm looking forward to those grille shells. I think I might have just the spot for them as of about 15 minutes ago when I got home. Stay tuned for some pics!
