personally, other then stock frenched, i think these cars are really hard to have custom tail lights and have them look good. Reason being is the quarter panel is soo tall. I think the windsplit is the only thing that really breaks it up otherwise it just looks too tall and vast.
But for some reason i think convertibles and vics have more options, i think it has to do with the roof being flat.
I think what helps break up the quarter panel is radiusing the wheel well and maybe sidetrim and scallops maybe.

also the frenching kit they sell for these is lame, the edge ends up being too thin in my opinion

Aye, Mate. What ever happened to the hand-formed 1/4" rod and skin???
I saw a '49 Ford with late Caddy vertical frenched lenses...looked like something modern.
Respected the work, (was flawless!) but the era was wrong.
(kinda like a Datsun at an NSRA show)

and here's CHOPMERC's victoria, one of the very few shoeboxes i like with packard taillights, they don't work on most shoeboxes, but look awesome here.

I cant take the credit of those taillights.Like i said,it was like that when i bought it.The previous owner and his friends should have the credit for them. But,i like how they are done and i am not going to change them.
