Where would I find the vin# on a 36 chevy?

    Passenger floor, if it's still there. Other than that, the vin is on the engine if you have the original. Good luck!

    36 Chev passenger VIN tag is located on front passenger floor
    in low area that usually rusts through.

    No, it was put on the engine instead.

    Originally, it was the MOTOR NUMBER and sometime along the way, unless the car is still titled with original title, a VIN was assigned. Depending on what state, what their procedure is/was, the tag with VIN could be anywhere. could even be that MOTOR NUMBER, redesignated on the newer title as VIN. If you have a title, look for that number anywhere/everywhere. If you can't find it but have a clear title, the solution is obvious.
