    A little more progress.

At CHRR swap section I found a 1936 Ford dash in perfect shape.... So I cut it up :D

Had to narrow it a few inches, and hack it up for my Stewart insert. Still need to round the top corners, and make mounting tabs to bolt it in the car, but it's getting there.

    ^^ Thanks!

Little more progress today. More cuts, more welds. Had to fit the curve of the dash header better. At least I'm getting good practice welding sheet metal!

More dash work. Wish I had more significant progress to post but money is tight and as long as I have wire and gas, welding just takes time. (And electricity! :D)
No more C-clamps holding the dash on, just need to finish the top corners and make lower mounting points and this dash is done.... Finally!

Thanks Skip, I hope as I'm building this you don't slap your forehead and think "My god this kid is killing my car!!!" :D

Thank you very much, I really appreciate yours and everyones comments. After the mess in my garage it's nice to see others share (or at least agree) with my vision!

Perfect stance, which I don't see that often with these cars. Nicely done and can't wait to see your progress!

I'm STILL working on the dash!! I have modified it now to the point that it's pretty much made of welds. I'll post a few pics when I finally get it done.

Thanks for the kind words fellas, it means a lot to me.

That's one great looking dash. Trust me, I know how much time it takes to make one. Great stuff!

Just stumbled on this. It's awesome man!!!! I really like the WW/Steelie combo but I'm sure the chrome is going to be rad once a new set of tires are mounted!!!

    Thanks Skip!

Thanks JJ, The chrome wheels are just rollers, I don't want to mess up the pretty tires in the garage! I like the chromes, but they take it to a different look than I'm shooting for. Really, so do the WW's, but it's what I have until I can get some Firestone blackwalls.

I appreciate everyones comments, it really means a lot to me.

Not much to take pics of recently, but I am fitting a mustang radiator now (believe it or not, it BARELY fits in the shell!)

Just picked up some bearjaw latches that I have to fit, interior and exterior handles, and working a deal on some super sweet SW gauges.. I'll throw a few pics up when I get ahold of the gauges.

Once again, thanks for the comments. It truly is a blessing to have such a supportive family, friends and HAMB friends.

Finally got some gauges that "fit" the car. Not too sure if I'm going to keep the tach, or find one that matches the others. NOS smooth bezel gauges from Rory, (SinisterSpeed) Thanks for a killer setup, and a damn fair price to boot! Not much more to update, been way busy the last month. Here are some pics...

    Gauge porn...

Like the guages and panel, but, wonder how the panel would look turned upside down in that dash?
