I just picked up this Mercury Comet Wagon and i'm thinking about a wheel change? maybe body color wheels with small hubcaps or maybe a set of astro supreme's? The wagon was a one family owned, original paint, original red/white interior......although in 75 a 289/c4/9" were installed.
I.M.O., it looks perfect with those full wheel caps. Maybe a little lowering would be good. Very cool cruzer, mag type wheels look goofy to me, but as I said I.M.O. Enjoy that great lookin ride, you will be gettin a lotta thumbs up and questions at the gas station and grocery store. Get ready for the old, had one just like it except it was a Buick and it was blue responses. ~Sololobo~
Yeah drop it a couple inches and roll with it. If A set of cheap mags pop up nab em. The paint looks good from the pics... leave it alone. JMHO
Yep it has reverse lights, says custom on front fender. I have most of the paperwork all the way back to the original trade in invoice. Still had the original CA black plates with fremont motor frames....I just put pacific wonderland oregon plates on
NICE car - saw it both times it was on ebay. Glad someone on here bought it. 1960-63 Comets are even coler than the Falcons because their not as common! They already made it 5- lug, right? Then you have a lot of wheel options.
yea, when they swapped the engine way back it also got a trans and rear end, mustang parts in the front give it 5 lug. Still havent decided what do do about wheels. I am going to lower the rear 2" . I just has the exhaust redone with duels, rebuilt the carb and dist....now it runs great.
