Seems its getting a lot harder to get the right quality parts in a timely manner from our local parts stores. White no name parts with bad chrome and poor fit seem to flood the in stock shelves. Most of them resemble parts we once wanted, but really belong on the shelf as a prop on display or in a garbage can when you get home, not on your car. I have to say it was nice matching stuff up to what I had, but if I have to order it I can’t see it. On top of that parts a 2 3 weeks out and I have to find time to get back to pick up the parts when I work nights. On the plus side I have found a found some new ways of getting parts over the 2 builds that I think
    made them better performance rods.

I think anyone on the hamb knows how fun and addicting eBay can be. I have found a lot of “cool looking” parts not listed in any of my catalogs about half fall into the "belongs on a shelf looking cool, not on my car" category. Then I mostly stayed with the catalogs for about a year. Now I’m back on the net for parts again but in far more accountable sites. I know many of you also enjoy the addiction of craigslist, but the few time I tried it I found it was faster finding the cool parts on eBay. I don’t have anything against used parts, but if I need them fast eBay seems to be the answer. Still care needs to be taken to ensure it’s a part I want. I think it’s great for finding cores so I can have them rebuilt to like new, but that still takes a lot of time.

Has anyone found a good source for made in America hardware?

    What parts are you running?

Any other must use venders out there?

Have any of you started using aluminum boat parts to finish off your engine?

I’m looking for fined aluminum pans with good oil control for my next project right now. Any ideas?
