These years marked a transition period in body styling, when (for the most part) fenders were starting to become a part of the body as opposed to something attached to the body. they all sort of had the same general "feel" from the factory. Customs built from this era car consequently offered different options for customizing than did previous models. Cars were evolving and (to me at least) these years represent an "in between" period.
So lets see em. Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Studebaker, Pontiac, Olds, Cadillac, whatever. lets see CUSTOMS built from 1949-1954 model cars (artist renderings too). I hope to see more than just the standard Chevys and Fords (love them as we all do). So dig deep into those personal archives or stacks of old magazines and share them with the rest of us.

I'm at work and i don't have much on this computer to get us started with, so i'm gonna need a little helping getting this one going...

  3. can only contribute pictures of my own. 1949 Plymouth. took me 13 years to build, but I pretty much did it all myself while raising 3 kids. I still have it, won't ever let it go. The truck is a 53 Dodge Pilothouse I am building for the wifey.

I'll play. Lots of these are off the HAMB and may be slightly off topic. Gold one is built by Finkd, below it is Brian Bass, and one of my favorites is the dark green by Skrap Metal here on the HAMB. I couldn't resist the Cepeda Stude truck.
