It Rolls (shop pic)

  1. I had to take my bike down off the build bench, to make room for a pay job. I would like folks to weight in on the tanks. I am thinking may-be just to damn big.

what size are they? 5 gal tanks just dont look good an anything other than 70's flh's. i am running '36-'39 el tanks on my '40 el bobber. they are a little bit narrower in the rear than pan tanks. i prefer the slim look. love the sparto tail light! i run those on my bobbers also!

I like big tanks so I say to keep it.

  9. Nothing wrong with your tank.

    Your bars are too wide.

I like the whole look you've got going and wouldn't change a thing.
It reminds me of my Knuck from the 70's. VL frame, springer and bars, 42 tanks.
Put some more pic's up when you finish it.

Man, I am loving that bike. I do think the 3.5 gallon tanks would look better though.. But I like small gas tanks.

  16. Here it is with a 3.5 gallon tank on it.

  17. I like 'em! (The big tanks) You'll definitely like the big ones better if you ride it much away from home.
