Don't forget this Sunday, October 17th, is the 40th Annual Roadsters Twin Cities Swap Meet. It's in the Northeast corner of the Minnesota State Fargrounds. The weather forecast is for 60 degree temps.Where else can you have such a great time for only 5 bucks?

I plan on getting there if I can get my Chevy pickup running. The rear end just went out in the Suburban.
Or plan B is any body going there from the Elk River area? e-mail me.

i got some cool stuff but not all of it!

picked up a flathead 4x2 intake with chrome 97's and 2 more extra chrome 97's and some vintage frogs mouth scoops.

We also picked up a fenton 2x2 flathead intake with 94's

also a buddy gave me a fenton 3x2 olds intake with 97's, i have to do some work for that one:)

Also picked up a speed gems early nailhead to early ford

got a couple of cal customs scoops too.

and a nifty Model A dash panel

As usuall i had an awsome time at the swap.

I also sold a buddies 28/9 roadster pick up at the swap.

[IMG] I had a good day at the swap and picked up a few treasures, I picked up a pair of 1940 ford 16x4 rims, a y-block manual bellhousing, mercury y-block valve covers, a left foot moon pedal ??? a 2 spoked banjo steering wheel, and some '59 impala gauge pods to finish a couple dashes I had stashed away and a few other non auto related parts, so Titus didn't get all the good stuff. weather was great and the trip was good, one of the best swapmeets of the year and got to spend some quality time with my kid.......Scott

  25. Sold almost everything that I needed to get out of my garage.:) I had a 40 Ford Sedan deck lid that I gave away for free. It weighed about 10 pounds more then it should have from repairs and filler. The guy I sold it to had it sitting in his space 10 minutes later asking $110 for it.

I wish all the swaps in MN thruout the year were as good as this one was.

  26. jeffry was waiting til day light before he swooped his pile .. his scouts were all workin hard
was there at least 550- 600 swappers? my feet think so...

i found 2 mercdes benz car covers and a bobber floating cooler

missed a 32 frame by a few minutes and saw some neat things .. no screaming deals .. prolly should have bought a set of chromie 5x5 x15 wheels and asst 32 parts a few other guys had ... a few grilles and cut up 3 window doors ?????

the economy has recovered and them "american picker" guys have helped raise awarness and prices .. more antiques and household goods than normal..

many $$$ haggles i over heard were ending in " no sales" .. guys were stickin to the askin price ..

guys that were selling looked pretty over whelmed at the size of the whole thing a few on the outer edges were not getting the benifit of too many guys willing to inspect... must sell piles and dollar tables were uncommon

lots of engines and more vintage tin than i have seen in awhile ..

one guy had a greasy V8 stuffed in the backseat off his four door 90? gm car with a seat belt.. gosh a panic stop would have benn pretty exciting...
hope fully some one has pics ..

actually came home pretty empty handed ...
the event hours gets shorter and walk gets longer and with guys packing up at noon ...

i need some of jeffs robot pickers i guess

  27. Whatta swap meet. Outstanding.
Someone got a hell of a good deal in Titus's RPU. Beautiful start for a rod.
Found a 40 Merc dash with gauges for 25.00. Never thought I'd stumble across one like that.:) Good bye Dakota Digital.

Because I drove a roadster, and froze my butt, I got in free! Stupidity does pay. The ride home was nice though.
A good friend, who I went to the swap meet with bought the Roadster Pickup Jeff (Titus) had there. Nice piece.
