I'm a Missourian currently displaced to NW Arkansas, just a few miles from the state line. I frequently go to Springfield and will be moving there next year. I've lived in Kansas City, Nevada (MO), and Warrensburg.

corrected. my apologies for being old and blind and spelling challenged.

so i looked up cleveland on google earth. it shows holmes road runs all the way to cleveland. is the smokestack bbq joint still open in martin city? used to be the very best. is it still?

who else knows that osage orange is another way of saying hedge apple tree? or, just hedge?

interesting screen name. how did it come about?

 

Alright Missouri HAMB'ers...this could be a long shot but I'm going to start working in Springfield several days/wk starting roughly in January and going through May so I need a room to rent. My whole family will be relocating from NW Arkansas in June and we'll ditch the house in AR and get a new one in MO. Basically you would only see me from about 6pm till bedtime for a few nights and no Fridays or weekends. Figured I'd start here since we already have something in common. I live pretty clean, God first, then family, friends and work. I'm not a square but I don't hit the bong or the bars anymore okay? I'm very able to pay bills and look after myself, just don't want the hassle of another apartment, furnishings, etc. Maybe somebody has a big house with an extra room / bathroom?

Anyhow if you or somebody you know fits the bill please let me know. A lucky somebody could win free labor for a few months...I'd rather work on a rod in the evening than watch TV or stare at the internet.

I'm from Carthage... My father-in-law is Henry J and he's from Carthage as well...

 

Well, it says in your profile that your occupation is gardening; so to get listed you must come landscape my ugly yard; then help Jim C with his latest project; then check on Randy Jackson and keep him in line; and of course, participate in the HAMB drags next year.

Actually you're listed now; check back the next time I post the entire list.

in answer to the question of how to get listed:

1. as i'm perusing the hamb if i see someone from missouri and i don't recognize the name i look in the word file; adding if necessary, and

2. whenever someone posts to this thread i add them.

 

Over by the Stadium...LOL! next to the charity grub...As far as racing is concerned...ha...I have to put a suspension in this dang thing afore it will be goin' anywhere. I talked to Randy about a "altered" wheelbase vehicle but he was too busy....Seems I am gonna have to do a Quarter Elliptical under the frontend... cut the shock towers out and stuff a 327 chebby in the falcon...(jokin')

Mike and I grew up in the same neighborhood.
He actually lived in a house right across the street from the area where the old stadium once stood.
Mike is just a few years younger than me.
