saw this at the Round-Up, after a few months and two trips to Fort Worth, I got it home, and put in the rear floorboards, transmission rebuilt, and in process of putting disc brakes on the front.

we pulled it out of a wrecking yard in montana in 1985, thats me with it then.
I had always planned on one of these 1000 point restorations(still custom though), however now I am thinking that that might be an unatainable goal for me, so now I am thinking of putting it back together, buffing out what is left of the paint and driving it as I slowly fix it up one piece at a time.

It was last liscensed in 1967, was shaved ,has 55 chev headlights, 56 chev rear bumper, and 56 packard tailligts( I have a NOS set to put back on it!!) 2 inch lowering blocks in the rear.

here is an interior shot with my dad, 1985. dig the custom pleated hearts!:

We will bump this to the top with some pics of my rust bucket. Thanks to the inside lighting, all flaws have been secretly hidden.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE NO EXAMPLES OF HOT RODDED OR EARLY GAS CLASS 49-54 CHEVYS. I'm thinking that I might want to head that direction for my '54 but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I tad. I am looking for something that I high school kid would have driven his senior year or perhaps some weekend racers that would have predated the skyjackers and straight axle stuff. Maybe lowered 2" all around or nothing at all, steel wheels etc.

I might have to get started on my '54 to fit the family in now so I am looking to do either a type like I described above or a really mild custom with watson styled flames. One thing is for sure, it's going to have a really nasty 283 and a 4spd in it!!!

My 52, Its stock up front and probably about 4' out back, Still got along way to go. Its Great for the family but it aint no hotrod. That 283 4spd sure would be nice!

The only unique thing about my car is the trailer I pull with it. Future plans for the car are dropped uprights, dual exhaust, etc.. Nothing major. Future plans for the trailer are to convert it into a pop-up camper of some sort and to lower it.

Rusk I believe that your Chevy may be the nicest Chevy custom on it's way to being finished. I really ove the style on that thing and the 7.10's definitely look great on that car.

Are you starting an all white (color of car not skin) car club? Looks like a little cluster of white cars parked there.

And I'll feel like a heel if I didn't say that your Chevy is my favorite finished car right now Mr. Denich. I think the scallops really did it for me. They look perfect!

Sheesh....you'd think that because I love all of your 49-54 Chevy customs I would be looking to build mine that way haha!! I'm heading a whole different direction though which is neither Custom, Gasser or Hot Rod. It's going to be pretty cool.
