    LOOKING FOR A CAR:

Went to Joe Bailon's open house party back in 1991 then attended his KKOA car show in Auburn California the next day. While we were there this original 50's custom was shown and was in excellent condition . After that i remember seeing it at Paso. I believe the car is in northern California . Does anyone know the car and its current owner?

    Dick McArdle Chevy.

Axle. What a great selection of customs for this show. I am looking forward to seeing some of these cars that I lost sleep over as a kid wishing I could either own it or see it in person. I will be there in January, so I can finally get some sleep......

  12. Enjoy your sleep now because as it gets closer and you find out more of whats going to be there , those sleepless nights will be back. Remember.....we are just getting started. ;)

Keith, it will be great to finally meet you in person!

  14. Wow! This will be amazing. And I'm gonna be there!

Me and the lady travels from Sweden to Vegas wednesday 26th jan., starting our two week roadtrip there.
A couple of days in Vegas, and then off to Pomona (via El Mirage, just to have seen this holy place...) and LA. Then continuing the trip to San Francisco on Highway 1.

Can't wait to see all the customs I've only read about or seen in photos!

Wow!! I will do what I can to be there - but if I miss... Is this by any chance a gathering that will take place again in near future or is this a unique event?

This will be a Unique Event!
Not saying anything like this will not happen again. But next time there might be another theme etc.
This collection of custom car, and loads of fantastic memorabilia will be gathered only for this event. So if you are a custom car enthusiast... better safe up to fly out there in January 2011.

Well well, Not to imply that what anyone else has done as far as shows hasn't been good but i really don't think anything like this has been done prior? The plan was originally to fly out next summer but due to this thread 3 of us have just made arrangements to fly out from England. Amazing work so far boys, and a big thanks for posting hotel information. To see all of these original forties customs in one spot - speechless

The Golden Sahara is still owned by its original owner Jim Street (Skonzakis) its unrestored but complete.

  22. Was already planning on going, but now I will definitely be there for the weekend!!!
I vote Cole Foster's 36 also, it belongs for the fact that it raised the bar in what a "new" build should look like

Is there any way you can get the Sonny Daout Dodge for the show? I'd be so in there.

Sonny's name on H.A.M.B is Sonny Day Out. Got togather with
him at the Merc show so I believe that he will go to this show too.
Just talk him into driving instead of flying.
