Perfect weather, great cars and great people, what else could I ask for? Thanks so much to everyone that showed up for the Drags, Don Moyer & the Slick Devils all the way from Ohio, The Hiltons...all you guys that drive so far to hang out or vend at our little shows. My wifey Kim & Lulabelle & his wifey for hawking our show merch all day. Beaver Bob, for letting me even do the show with the "tech" we do for the 1/8 mile cars. We'll also modify the program next year to make it more streamlined i.e. line up 1/8 mile (no classes) in two lanes, 1/4 mile in the other two and keep everyone moving! We'll just keep fine tuning every year to make this the best race event on the east coast. I'll do a HAMB auction after Hershey because, well, Hershey comes before everything!!

A friend and I went just to spectate. Meet two other friends there who were on their way back from Carlisle. Great crowd, cool cars. We all had a great time. We will all be back, which is saying a lot because I'm the only one of us with a pre-64.

  8. Larry thanks for a great day. And thanks to bob for hosting the event at his track. I never went through a tech like that before he really scrutinized my roadster but in the end it passed. Hahaha.
Hey I made 4 passes and everyone was cool than packed up and drove home it was worth the 5 hour drive each way. That willys was the most amazing thing I have ever seen and to be up that close to that wheel stand wow.
Hey slim thanks for putting a picture of my henry J on your banner it looks cool hope I can get a banner like that for my garage
Sweet can't wait for the latimore show next year to do it again

Thank you for a great show. Beaver Bob has a great place up there. I asked in NitroFC's thread about the plane that buzzed the strip but I think the question got lost in all the great pics. Was that planned or somebody out for some fun? Either way, it was awesome. I bought a poster from you and will return the rubber band next year. I had a great time and thanks again for all the work that goes into what is a great way to spend a Saturday in the Fall.

Great job Larry, I wouldn't change a thing! If anybody didn't like it they should be collecting stamps or something. See you in the spring at the showdown, Chuck.

  21. Larry, Kim and the gang, thanks again for a great day. Bob, I told you in person, but I want to put it out there on the open forum, that is one of the best starting lines I have ever raced on. My first real pass I thought I broke the bumper off the back of the Rebel Reaper, man did it hit hard! Very smooth surface down the whole track. I can't wait to see all the pictures and videos on youtube that you guys post.....that way I can see stuff that I missed while racing or working on the car. I wish I had the camera in the car for the plane. The plane came down the track while I was running, pretty cool to see it coming at me:eek: The twin engine dragster was simply awsome, wish I had taken the time to go over and talk with those guys. Anybody know if they are on the HAMB? Had fun racing a couple East Coast Gassers. I hear they may stay and have their points race on sunday next year. That would be cool for them to race with the other cars at the event on saturday. It would also be great to turn this into a weekend event so people would stay saturday night. Nothing like racing in the lights! The flash light drags were the biggest ever this year. The rubber band war...i think that is all I need to say about that...hahahaha....I am sure I speak for all the Slick Devils, we had a great time!

Larry, our thanks go out to you, Kim and Bob. I and all of the East Coast Gassers had a great time and a great race. The ECG is thinking about having a double points race weekend next year, 1 Saturday & 1 on Sunday as most of us travel pretty far to get there and we all like racing at the Beaver. We will surely be back hopefully with even more cars.

I was in Carlisle Thursday and Friday, moving cars between Hershey and Carlisle Saturday morning and then headed for home Saturday afternoon to get more cars for Hershey. It killed me to be THAT close and not be able to come :(

Glad the weather turned around for you, Saturday was a great day compared to the previous two. One of these years I'll make it out...

  27. Was a killer time! We had our mechanical problems with the LITTLE HONKER..thats drag racing. but we got one run in...

Push starts in front of the crowd, full passes, great weather, great people. Thats what its all about. Good seein Slimpickens, JR, j.thomas, the SINCHESTER boys and big thanks to Bob (Bilbow) and the lyndwood crew for hangin out and ridin along in the push truck

Thanks Larry and crew for a PHENOMENAL time...

I also want to thank everyone, racers, spectators, pit people, camper, rubber band fight participants, etc. It was a record event and everyone made it possible. My staff and I really enjoy the event and it'll keep getting better every year. Larry and I have updated plans in the works that'll please everyone next year.

On the airplane buzz job, that's a long time friend of mine in his 1959 V-tail Bonaza. He called and said he was reading 185 knots (196 MPH) on that pass and he had everything opened but the tool box. He just had to be part of the show.

Look to see everyone again next October.
