If this is too ot,just delete...i did a serch and didn't find anything,so. i was out junking today and bought a 1963 irwin barbie hot rod.I don't know anything about barbie toys and have never seen one before.Anyone have one or know anything about them,i'd like to get the engine for it? thanks.
Yep, that is a cool one and somewhat hard to find totally complete. Type in a search on that auction site and you will likely find some additional pics of this car...
my wife about 3years ago bought a jag convertible. we found out mattel had made a barbie car of it. we were half seriosly looking for one. i picked up my son from his mothers house, he had a dumb look on his face. pulled one out from in back of him. it appears i had bought one for his older sister when she was little, she out grew playing with it . so it went into the basement. well jr was digging around in the basement and found it. the car now rides in the trunk with us, yes we put a barbie in it. when we put in the british car shows usually one little girl has a fit because she cant have it. strange how something you bought 20 years ago comes back around, and is important to you. and yes its pink and i dont care
Didn't know Barbie drove a Jag. Her original sports car was an Austin Healey http://images.search.yahoo.com/imag...&sigr=12f5u41qk&sigi=11prk59q8&sigb=137re78il
I bought one off ebay a few years ago. They are huge and fun but have some realy weird dimensions. I allways thought those wheel covers looked like early G Barris cast hubcaps.
Nice score George! Here's one I bought awhile ago, striped, and auctioned off at one of our shows.Never saw the Hot Rod before.
"Barbie, Ken and Midge, ...travel and date in their own custom HOT ROD." And Barbie has PURPLE hair! I still think this is a pretty cool early 60's hot rod collectible. Neat.
