I was there on Saturday as a spectator only. Fun little modified. It had some neat detail for what looked like a homebuilt hot rod. Not really sure how long ago it was built. They must really have liked yellow. neat windshield..gives me idea for roofus' windshield
nice pics! That deuce sport coupe is AWESOME. Anyone know if it's the one that was for sale as a project out of PA a few years ago?
This was my first time there and I really didn't do my homework for going as a spectator. I parked on the hwy 50 side in a neighborhood and had to hike back to the car with my swap meet stuff (i'm sore now). If I go again as a spectator, I'm parking on the other side.
The yellow and black roadsters were the late Bob Keethler's his wife put them on display.Bob had wrecked the yellow one a few years ago and she had cornfield customs do some repair work on it.I did some work on the black one she had the blue vicky the red model a truck and the two roadsters there. We sure miss the old man but all of us around here have some old cars because of him.
Thanks for the great pictures. Also want to thank you for including a couple shots of Okie, my '54 Chevy Pickup. It was the second truck in the coverage, green patina with black steelies. The coverage is always great as I always miss something even though I'm there.............. Was your truck broke, I've seen it at several events but never seem to catch you around.
Truck isn't broke, but my wallet is . I can't afford to drive that gas guzzling SOB to all of the shows I'd like to attend. The little toyota helps.
It was a good turnout this year. Friday and Saturday until about 3 or so were great! We were in the swap meet section, had the Queen City Hot Rods banner and the '32 frame out front. We packed up for the day on Saturday around 2:30 and people said we were crazy because it wasn't going to rain! Jokes on them! It got nasty and cold!
Thanks for the Pics. I had ten cars entered. My Friends and myself had alot of fun passing out Pop Cycles and Ice cream sandwiches in the Freddie Freeze Ice Cream Truck. I was letting my buddies drive the Old Boston 41 Willys around and making some noise with the Jumpin J !!! It was fun seeing all the kids smiling and funny seeing the older people dancing to Van Halen The Ice Cream Man. Next year you will have to jump aboard the Freddie Freeze and laugh your ass off with us.
Back to the top for those that might be considering going to the Pumpkin Run this weekend. Go! It is a great show and swap meet!
Love the Pumpkin Run, its great but can be pretty cold in the early morning. Bring a warm coat, you may need it. Froze my butt off one year.
just aheads up might wanna wear your mud shoes and such its been raining alittle bit almost everyday this week
Hey flipper, look for my big blue olds, or carlos' 55 ford on the back row, outside the track. stop by and shoot the shit. we'll be there all day, each day.
