I am in town thru Friday morning with work and I know there's usually a kick off party of some sort the Thursday night before at some rod shop. Anyone know of anything?
going to try to make it on sunday but not with the Impala. has anyone seen a schedule of events? what time Pushrod plays, is there any special guests, etc?
We play at like 1 and 3 on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. Oh and party in the RV park on Friday and Saturday night lets not forget that.
cool, sounds good. i'm going to try to get there early on sunday, i definitely want to see you guys play again
Nah, not the early bird. Just setting up the the vendor area since Wednesday. Dee, I'm driving a buddy's coupe out to the show tomorrow and Saturday. He has too many cars but can only drive one at a time
I was there on Friday - Good show. I spent most of the morning looking at the stuff for sale. I figured it was the only part of the show that wouldn't be there later. Then I ate lunch and watched the autocross. That was cool! Now I want to build an autocross car! But that'll wear off after while. It was over about 4:15 so I finally decided to get around to checking out the hot rods - the real reason I went in the first place. By 4:30, everyone was starting get in their cars and leave! Oh crap! I didn't realize the show ended at 5:00! I'm glad I didn't decide go after work or it would have been too late! Well, if I couldn't walk around looking at them, they could just come to me. I found a nice grassy spot to sit. For the next hour and a half, I got to see, smell and hear hundreds of fire-breathing machines file past me. It was great! Some of them spun out as they pulled away from the stop sign. Some of them just grumbled on by. Some were classy and silent. It was also fun to see what the owners looked like who drove the various cars. Next year, I'll be sure to bring a lawnchair and a drink and enjoy the parade from just outside the front gates. It was the best part of the show! If I can get away this week end, I'll be there there again.
Ditto this; after attending the Roundup and Pistons and Paint the last two years, I figured I would check this show out just to see what it was about. Got there early and walked 'til my feet hurt. Saw some really nice cars but it's hard to focus with so many cars, different stuff. But as I rolled into the infield in the 'fan tram' I saw the lineup of lawn chairs and awnings by the tunnel and it reminded me of the dream cruise on Woodward in Michigan. So next year that's my plan - get there even earlier, park my butt with coffee and watch the show roll by. If you brought your car, thanks so much I really enjoyed it.
Have to work all this weekend, early to late with no chance to visit or take the T Bucket to the show.
The good news ... You have a job !!! Bad news , you missed a car show and brother there will be many more focus on # 1
