I'm buying this 63 Impala like I mentioned in my intro, The thing is I haven't really done any "customizing" since the early 80s. One of the things I want to do is lift up the rear end just a touch..
My question is, what would be used today to lift my rear w/o rebuilding the suspension, do they still make air shocks?..Thanks JQ

Up? You know we are going the other way now, right?

Things have changed since the 80's.

Fresh springs. HD rear springs can be found at your local NAPA, for under $120, for the pair.

So $70 to fix it the wrong way, or $120 to fix it the right way.

    I detest air shocks.

Bagging that car would be pretty easy, in comparison to most. Still a bit of work, but nothing the average Joe can't pull off. If you can run a decent bead, and manage a tape measure, you can do it!
