It looks rather "cobbled"! Also, I seem to
vaguely remember reading about that one
(or more likely, having it read to me)when
I was really little, back in the 1950's. Wasn't
it originally owned by an old woman who
had a whole lot of kids, some housing issues
and some sort of shoe fetish???

OK I just gotta know was it made to be driven on the frozen tundra or is there a wheel in there somewhere?

Has a steering mechanism, kinda of like a joy stick or tiller wheel.

 

We bought it at an estate auction in Indy, trailer came with it and we paid just about what you would expect to pay for the trailer. No one including the auction company knew anything about it.
The reality is we have no idea what it is worth.

 

This is beyond cool. I'd love to see you get it restored and drive it! Great find!

The passenger cabin is a lot wider than I originally thought looking at the profile shot. That three quarter picture with the woman is awesome.

 

That's true. My grandfather had a weird fiberglass concept car from the sixties sitting in a orchard that he never finished. After he died a friend of his finished it and now it is in the Peterson museum in L.A.!

 

I think this thing is cool as hell, and the fact that it was found at a estate sale for cheap makes it even cooler.

The wheels are backwards because the offset was needed to get the car wider.

Wow, that trailer doesn't look like it is any top of the line model either. I'm guessing pretty damn cheap then. Those wheels alone would probably get you a sweet profit assuming they haven't been messed up on the front sides. But, that needs to be saved and restored with those wheels. Very cool score on this.

 

It's different! Looks like a sixties Indy car that got ran over by a tank!

 

Man that thing is cool! It'll make a great conversation piece...even better if you could make it a working driving car.

 

After looking at the pictures and reading the articles, it would be cool to see on a show circuit or in a museum somewhere!

If ya have the engine and most of the mechanicals, your in buisness. Probibly worth some good change to the right person!

Wow!!!! What a fantastic score. I've been facinated by Coloni's work ever since I saw his concept vehicles. Remeber he's in his 80's now. He won't be around for ever. Once he's gone that's the end of an era. Your lucky to have one of his progressive creations. Cherish it and give it the proper restoration it deserves.

Wheels are Chromodoras and worth quite a bit. That's pretty cool. Look for a trashed Espada to get the engine.

Still, has a good thing going, designing these flights of fancy, that don´t need to function.

 

An engine will not be that hard to find, particularly if it does not have to run.

Check with the Cigaret Boat guys, lots of these engines in boats.

They even turn up on feeBay and go unsold.

Won't be cheap, maybe if it's a non-runner and you give credit to the seller when you show the car/sculpture you can get a deal?
