Awesome weekend, and Mercury Charlie does an awesome job of hosting it.
Don't forget about "Hot Rods and Honey's" Saturday evening too.

  9. I pick slinging lead with an Icon.

I never thought I'd even get to meet Gene Winfield,
but ended up getting chastised by him in class for not paying attention. :p

So, I have to take his class again. ;)

For sure. 130am Friday night we were at the Continenal Club, up @ 6am work 12 hours then off to the Continental again til 230am, up @ 6am worked until 530 and then hopped a plane back home, got in @ 130am, at work @ 7am. I'm still beat, but totally worth it.

FYI, Gene has the absolute best pickup line I've ever heard. "Hi, my name's Gene." Gets em every time!!!!!!!

A good time was had by all...even Dustin, at least til the blisters start rising up on his hands from that hot dolly. I had met Gene on a few occasions but this was the first time to meet Mercury Charlie...he and his crew are great folks, wish his shop was a little closer to SoCal though. Lanny Ericson and his 56 Chevy were there as well...I didn't realize how much history that car had until I looked it up on the web later. It was good to listen to Gene and Lanny talk about that car and how much each of them had a hand in its creation. Gene said that his next class would be at his shop on November 27-28th...might be a good time to work off some turkey. I'll be waiting for some pics from Jake when he gets that 38 Poncho mocked up, the roof line was looking real sweet...

I had a great time in the class, and learned a lot. I'll be at the next one, and not so shy about jumping in...

It was great meeting you all.

  30. We worked until 11pm sunday and then had to load the '38 and drive back to Dallas.
Got home at 4am and Jake had to get up to work at 6.30.
I was totally useless all week.
Damn, but I can't wait until next year.

Mercury Charlie goes above and beyond on this class.
    I highly recommend it.
    Thumbs up, Charlie and Roxie!

I also want to take the paint class, bad.
