I came across these rusty relics along a walking trail in Northwestern Massachusetts. The truck cab appears to be 1935-36 Chevrolet (firewall is in good shape if anybody needs one). The other cowl I don't know...could it be Model T Ford? Or, more likely an oddball. Anybody want to take a guess???
It looks like early gm, most likely chevy here is a picture of a 27 and 28 chevy cowl If the fenders go with it, it's prolly a 1926 chevy.
Damn you guys are good! Looks like that 27 Chevy is almost exactly the same. Fenders were nearby, but I can't be sure they match the cowl. There was a hood, steering column and half a dashboard amongst the junk pile found near the cowl. Another picture...
Prolly not a buick because of the lack of shape around the lower windshield. This is a 26 buick cowl. And here is a pic of a 27 chevy dash.
French? naaah.....it's the Foghorn Leghorn model....."looks---ah say, looks good, but ain't quite all there"
Did the OP take the Chevy cowl home?? That thing is solid enough to make an excellent tub or RPU. Don't let it rot in the woods! Wp
27 cowl looks like it has a commercial dash hanging off it so probably off LM one tone cab which shares same cowl and front doors with 27 4dr sedan.
Could be 39 or newer...but fenders and radiator shell (not in picture) sure looked like 1936 or older (didn't 37 have a nose almost identical to the passenger cars that year?). Of course, the fenders/shell might have been from another truck...but the doors and body lines in the side of the cowl sure looked consistent with 1933-36 Chevy.
This is a '26 Chevy Roadster.http://picasaweb.google.com/sixpics/26ChevyRoadster?authkey=Gv1sRgCMGrn5aTjqyueQ&feat=directlink
No, I didn't...but you are right, it would be a great start to a speedster body or something similar. The truck cowl is probably useable too.
