1950s 1960s Hot Rod Movie Stills & posters

I saw the tail end of a movie a few weeks ago that featured a teenaged girl heading home from the beach in station wagon (possibly a New Yorker... cant recall) and a young fellow in a white '32 roadster chasing the car down to give her a record. I just cant remember the name of the film... any ideas?

How come Hollywood Knights gets so little mention? It was so much like the way I grew up that I could see all my friends in the charachters. And some of the pranks they pulled were pretty comparable.
